Mark Boyko Campaign for House District 90 Prioritizes Community Over Junk Mail with $8,000 Nonprofit Contributions

Kirkwood, Mo, September 25, 2024 – In a bold departure from traditional political campaigning, Mark Boyko, a candidate for Missouri House District 90, has taken a unique approach by reallocating campaign funds to benefit local nonprofits rather than subjecting voters to junk mail or robocalls.

Noting that a single junk mail to each voter would cost $8,000, Mark decided to instead donate $8,000 from his campaign, Brighter with Boyko, to support organizations that provide scholarships to students and grants to teachers within the District. The strategy not only supports essential causes, but also aligns with Mark’s vision of building a stronger, more connected community.

“I faced a choice between spending on mail pieces that end up in the trash and robocalls that annoy voters, or investing that money in our students and teachers” says Mark. “I have no doubt this is the right call.”

The non-profits receiving support are: The Kirkwood School District Foundation, the Lindbergh School District Foundation, the Valley Park Education Foundation, the Parkway Alumni Association, and the Meacham Park Neighborhood Improvement Association (“MNIA”). Harriet Patton, President of the MNIA, stated “We are so thankful for Mark’s support of the Meacham Park Neighborhood Improvement Association! We know he agrees with our motto to come together, work together, and stay together to build a unified community.”

“This is about more than just winning an election,” Mark said. “It’s about using the campaign’s influence to directly improve the lives of the people in our neighborhoods.”

Mark’s rejection of impersonal campaign tactics highlights his commitment to making real, tangible changes in the community.
